That dizzy feeling.. Part 2

February 15, 2009 at 12:45 am (Its all about me !)

Another day, same story… well almost!

Finally decided to have some mercy on the docs and went for a check up 😛 We do have a medical facility out here on campus. But trust me, the docs who inhabit this place are the least efficient folks I have come across for a while now.

So instead of taking any chances, I set off for the Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital (ABMH). Symbi students get a 50 % discount on the consultation charges at ABMH which are currently as high as Rs. 300. Without letting the cost factor dampen my spirits, I trudged along. The ABMH facility is well maintained and huge. They have these reception desks setup in the main entrance lobby, a la 5 Star Hotel style! Having completed the registration formalities (first timers have to fill up a detailed form to avail a registration card), I managed to fix an appointment with one of the General Physicians available on duty.

A decent 15 minute wait, and I found myself in the doctors cabin. His diagnosis suggested that my combination of dizziness and body ache was only a result of the unattended cold that I was suffering from. It also turned out that I have contracted a stomach infection 😦 Too bad!

As his profession demands, the doc briskly scribbled, in quite neat a handwriting a list of four tablets that I have to consume over a period of 5 days which will effectively cure my ailments.

The antibiotics prescribed for my stomach ailment costed a bomb, good I was carrying enough money. An hour later, I finally walked out of ABMH with hopes of getting well soon 🙂

That dizzy feeling..

February 13, 2009 at 6:10 pm (Its all about me !)

It feels like a hangover!

Yeah its true that I don’t drink, but my encounters with people experiencing a hangover makes me feel this is how it must be. Its been more than two days now that I have been constantly feeling dizzy, sleepy, tired and all that you can associate with laziness or inactivity. And all this at a time when there’s lots to be done.

Class tests, last minute lectures, presentations, assignments, projects.. phew ! You name it and I have it in the pipeline. After having spent (rather wasted) one whole day in bed yesterday, I thought I’d be back to kickin’ some asses (that’s what I do best lol).  But little did I know that its still going to be an effort to even raise a finger!

So now I am wondering, should I see a doctor ? Well, if you don’t know it already, I hate taking medicines and I hate seeing a doc! But I guess if my already aching body does not show any signs of improvements then i’ll have to visit one.

Lets see what happens tomorrow then!

Time’s running, no flying !

February 12, 2009 at 7:47 pm (Its all about me !)

Feels like it was only yesterday that I was counting my days at work, eagerly waiting to find out how going back to college again would be. And here I am today, wondering where the last 6 and a half months have gone.

I distinctly remember my degree college days, may be not an exact account of every single day out of the three years that I spent there but yes days enough to make me go on for hours talking about it. Life was fun back then, or may be it was the company of good friends that made it seem that way.

On the contrary, life seems to be going nowhere at the moment. I really find it hard to put together what I have been doing since the time I arrived here. There’s so much to do that there is hardly any time left at the end of the day and before I realize, another day has already begun. I sometimes wonder if life should really be so hectic that it becomes difficult to even keep a track of where its going?

I wonder if its just me who feels this way. I wonder if there are others like me who are trying to find how to break away from this fast paced, back breaking life that we have got used to! What has changed so drastically that even 24 hours dont seem to be adequate? Or may be the answer lies within. May be I need to gather myself again and get my schedules sorted. Get back to doing some smart time management 🙂
